MIIDEL (hereafter M): First, please tell us about the background of introducing MIIDEL.

Mr. Nagata (hereafter without honorifics):I belong to a department that oversees all processes related to product development, from market analysis and acceptance surveys to package design development. At the same time, we are strongly required to incorporate elements of reform such as "new things" and "innovation." Therefore, I had the desire to automate tasks wherever possible.
For example, there is the "reading alignment task" for printed materials such as product claims and back labels that always accompany health foods. The traditional method is for one person to read aloud and another to visually check whether all elements such as characters and marks match the latest information. There are revisions to related laws every two to three years, and the workload increases each time to respond. However, since mistakes could lead to product recalls, we considered whether this task could be systematized efficiently while maintaining the current accuracy, and we examined various software.

M: What was the deciding factor for adoption?

Nagata:At first, we considered software from another manufacturer. However, some software only supported certain document formats, which did not fit our work environment. While searching the web, we came across MIIDEL. The introduction video was very easy to understand, so we applied for a test use and started using it. It was very easy for anyone to use. We thought that if even PC beginners could operate it and perform the same checks as experts, it would be useful in other departments as well, so we proceeded with test use. We confirmed on-site that compared to conventional work, it could significantly reduce work time and labor costs, leading to formal adoption. Currently, it is also being used in other departments that were not initially anticipated, and we feel it helps streamline operations through software utilization.

M: I'm glad to hear that MIIDEL is helping improve the workload that you were concerned about being excessive.

Nagata:The package information checked by MIIDEL is extremely important, as any mistakes could lead to serious issues such as product recalls. Because of this, when done manually in-house, it requires great care and time, and multiple layers of checks are necessary to prevent accidents. I believe many people in this industry face similar stress. I would definitely recommend it to such people as well.

M: Thank you. Once task automation is realized, manpower can be allocated to innovative work.

Nagata:Exactly. We produce health products, but from now on, we believe we must not only sell products but also provide services that help customers continue in a better way. While advancing current operations, we are working hard toward business growth by taking on new challenges during free time.

M: Surely, the day when innovative products are born is not far off. Thank you very much for your valuable insights today!
