MIIDEL (M): First off, could you share with us the background for implementing MIIDEL?
Mr. Nagata: I belong to the department that oversees all the processes related to product development, from market analysis and acceptability surveys to package design development. At the same time, there’s a strong demand for innovation and new initiatives. Therefore, I strive to automate as many tasks as possible.
For example, in the case of health supplements, proofreading printed materials that come with the product, such as package inserts or labels, is crucial. Traditionally, this process was done by a team of two, with one person reading the contents aloud, going over both texts and visual information, while the other made sure everything was correct and up to date. Regulations are updated every 2-3 years and each time this happens, our workload increases significantly to ensure compliance with the new rules. Taking into account the importance of accuracy to avoid product recalls, we began to look for software that could help streamline the process while maintaining accuracy.

M: What was the deciding factor in choosing MIIDEL?
Nagata: We initially considered software from another vendor but we ran into some issues with their limited format support which didn't suit our operational needs. After doing more research online, we discovered MIIDEL. The introduction video was easy to understand so I decided to apply for a trial. Once we started using it, we discovered how intuitive it was for anyone to use. We believed that if someone with limited PC experience could use it and perform reviews on par with experienced users, it could be beneficial across other departments so we continued the trial.
When compared with our traditional process, our on-site trial confirmed that it could significantly reduce both work time and labor costs, leading to our decision to officially adopt the software. Nowadays, the software is even used in departments we hadn't initially considered. It is playing an important part in streamlining operations across the board.

M: It is great to hear that MIIDEL was able to help improve tasks with excessive workloads.
Nagata: The package information reviewed by MIIDEL is incredibly important. Any errors could potentially lead to product recalls. Proofreading this manually before was incredibly stressful and time-consuming since we had to do it several times to prevent mistakes. I imagine others in this industry struggle with this as well and that is why I highly recommend MIIDEL to solve it.
M: Thank you! Now that these tasks are automated, is it possible to reallocate the saved time and manpower towards innovation?
Nagata: Exactly! We produce health products but we believe it won't just be about selling these moving forward. It's also about providing services that encourage customers to continue using them in better ways.
As we continue with our current operations, we will be using our spare time to explore new initiatives and work towards growing the business.
