MIIDEL3, Efficient Way to Detect Subtle Differences, is releasing!

2018/3/26

TRIART,INC. (Iizuka city, Fukuoka, Japan; CEO: Kentaro Imazu), a research and development company specializing in information security, has recently launched a new version of its AI-powered visual information comparison software, MIIDEL3.

It can detect subtle changes that are often missed by the naked eye and displays the differences by color making it easy to notice. Since its launch in April 2016, MIIDEL has been adopted by 200 companies in various industries including manufacturing, construction, consumer goods, and local governments.

We are happy to announce the release of the new MIIDEL3, which includes highly-requested new features. In this new version, the software can automatically recognize features of the documents being compared, detect similarities, and correct distortions before being compared. This enhancement allows documents of different sizes or distorted during scanning or in pictures, to be compared.

This improved capability also simplifies the task of comparing drawings. It can now be used beyond technical drawings such as in everyday documents, providing a quick and accurate visual inspection tool and allowing MIIDEL to be used across a wider range of industries.

MIIDEL Overview

In a construction project, accurate communication between the design team and the on-site team is crucial. Any oversights or miscommunications when reviewing technical drawings can potentially lead to a significant amount of rework or increased cost. As a response to the feedback we received, MIIDEL was developed as an easier way to detect discrepancies by accurately detecting and highlighting differences.

MIIDEL3 Overview

With this new version of MIIDEL, the automatic analysis features make drawing comparisons faster and easier to process. Even if the scales are different between versions of the same drawings, the software can adjust them automatically by enlarging, shrinking, rotating, or even partially stretching to maintain accurate comparisons. It can also do this across multiple pages simultaneously, freeing up the user's time for other tasks.

Users have reported improved productivity thanks to being able to clearly see changes not only in drawings but also in specifications and estimates.

Additionally, this new feature also now makes it possible to compare different file formats, such as comparisons between scanned drawings and it's digital PDF counterparts or even old blueprints and photos. MIIDEL is now versatile enough to be used beyond traditional drawing comparisons.

With this, MIIDEL3 has expanded its possible uses beyond just drawings to various types of documents. Different users can now all use MIIDEL to help them accurately and quickly detect changes when reviewing documents. We hope that MIIDEL can be adopted across various industries as a tool that can reduce workloads and contribute to Japan's "Work Style Reform".
